Universal heart of celebration: Ethiopia's Patriots Victory Day

"The tribulations and afflictions which befell us during the past five years and which cannot be recounted and numbered in detail will be a great lesson to us all, and with industry, unity, co-operation and love engraved in your hearts, will be a great incentive to you to be my helpers in the affairs of Ethiopia which I have in mind. In the New Ethiopia I want you to be a people undivided and endowed with freedom and equality before the law. You will have to join me in my efforts for the prosperity of the country, for the riches of the people, for the development of agriculture, commerce, education and learning, for the protection of the life and resources of our people, and for the perfection on modern lines of administration of the country."

H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, May 5, 1941

I just wanted to take a brief moment to extol a heart of celebration to the Ethiopian family worldwide, in fact the entire global African diaspora, on this day Ethiopian Patriots Victory Day.  It was on this day in 1941 that the tide was turned in the war against oppression, imperialism and fascism against Italy and the anti-Christ meditation and intentions of then Popes Pius XI and XII and the hell spawn dictator Benito Mussolini.

It was on this day in 1941 that a blow was dealt to the wicked brutal regimes of the world that would, if successful, have put and kept Africa under heel quite potentially to this day.  But with the fortitude and faith of people fighting for and with God incarnate, Italy and by extension, the wicked Vatican stood no chance against such heroes.

There is not much for me to say as the spirit of the victory is still very much alive in the community.  Also of important mention might be that the nation of Rastafari peoples universally hold special reverence today, if not keep celebrations of their own.  As stated by H.I.M., this is a time to recognize David's victory over Goliath.  It should also be a forever reminder that no matter how insurmountable or formidable the present dilemma may appear, with good courage, faith and diligent determination successful outcomes are assured.

I pray you a pleasant day full of joy laughter and somber remembrance for all who have given their lives and spirits to the upright cause of Ethiopia, her God and people.
