I received the following letter in my inbox several days ago and wanted to share it with my family.  It was already shared with many ones and ones throughout the African Diaspora and it has received a great deal of attention and congratulatory praises from many.   I had already been writing a brief piece myself when it reached my desk, in regards something very similar but the author hit the mark much stronger than I.

The letter, 14 pages long and I understand that it was whittled down from over 20 pages, is a history lesson of sorts, inasmuch as it is an introduction, or further introduction for Diasporan Africans both continentally and abroad.  There are too many salient points for me to address in these few lines, so I attach here for your viewing and edification.  It is rather long but it well worth the read.  Feel free to comment and help the conversation continue.  The only way we are ever going to get to the point that we are truly family once more, is through open honest communication.

Many of us living in the world today may know that December 10th is Human Rights Day and many of us may not; some of us probably saw it highlighted on a calendar and never did the research to find out the significance of it. I congratulate those of you who took time and know, but it is our duty to make everyone aware. “Leading a horse to water and getting him to drink”.

Benetton Emasculates The Afrikan President of USA

Much as I might not support President Obama as CEO, I can't believe most Afrikan people here aren't more outraged at Benetton new ad campaign where they have Obama "kissing" other world governors.  I mean if Sandusky and now Fitzpatrick scandals alone don't show just how much American culture is out to feminize and emasculate the Black Man, this clearly has to and should not be left well enough alone.

Black is beautiful and so am I.  A sea of Beautiful Afrikan faces with enduring spirit of freedom for a redeemed Afrika.  "How long Rastafari call you? How long?" is the chorus we rock to in celebration.  It speaks to a greater salient point that we have a inherent internal power to affect our own change.  Truly, how long must we see ourselves in full glory and we all not realize that we can be much better than how the western media and powers that be portray us?  We are a strong and beautiful Afrikan people throughout the Diaspora.

Many of us did not land in the west by choice but full of the hope, pride and love for Afrika and willing to put as much back into resolving our internal troubles as anyone else.   I may not know exactly what is being sung in the video below, but that spirit full of joy and hopeful exuberance for an Afrika based on Afrikan strategies and decisions without western intervention and imperialism shines through as the new moon on her return from her resting journey.

Blessed love.  May the light that shines brightly at noonday and the midnight hour not cause to smite you.  JAH love and bless each and everyone that the fruit of the root of Afrikan trees once again flourish and bring back strong, vibrant, brilliant seed.
